The revenue and assistance stamps with the "Gültig 9. Armee" overprint
The subject of the present article - the stamps with the "Gültig 9. Armee" overprint in a frame - was not treated, to date in the Romanian specialized literature, and the catalogues (the international as well as the Romanian ones) make only summary reference or ignore them.
Actually there are two issues, an assistance stamp type "weaver" (identical with those used starting with 1916 in the Kingdom), but with changed colors as well as a revenue stamp.....full article here!... |

Kingdom of Romania, overprints and over-stamped in the new territories 1918-1920
After the First World War and the Versailles and Trianon treaties, the Kingdom of Romania incorporates provinces belonging to the former Austro-Hungarian Empire (Transilvania, Banat, Bucovina) and the Russian Empire (Basarabia). These territorial modifications impose a series of legal, political and economical efforts, for the unification, consolidation and modernization of the new state structures.  The Rădăuți war invalids 1918 - 1919
 Immediately after the First World War and the break up of the Austro-Hungarian Empire the historical Romanian provinces of Bucovina, Transilvania and Besarabia united to form the Kingdom of Romania. A problem facing the new nation was the welfare of war invalids, widows and orphans and the State was faced with establishing measures for their rehabilitation; these included accommodation and such matters as the provision of artificial limbs. |

I NEED HELP !
 I recently bought this card with information that would be owned by members of Jewish organization BNEI AKIVA of Romania. Hebrew Democratic Committee (CDE), was established at 25 April 1945. This organization had become Trojan Knight of the communists in Jewish organizations. On the Internet I found that this organization has been dissolved on 23 March 1953. I need help with interpretation and translation of text printed on the card and stamps. |
